Scholarship Program
|
| Each year, the Asian Women Entrepreneurs (AWE)
will offer several one thousand dollars ($1,000) scholarships
to students who are matriculating at the School of Business/Management
toward earning their BA degree. The scholarships are awarded
based upon the applicant’s service to, and/or leadership in
the community, and on the applicant’s commitment to continue
providing such service and/or leadership.
The Scholarship Committee encourages students of all races
to apply, as the scholarships will be awarded without consideration
to the applicant’s race or ethnic origins.
The applications are due by the first week of August each
year. The scholarships will be presented at AWE’s Annual Luncheon
in September. |

Application Instructions
The following must accompany the scholarship application: |
| 1. |
A letter from the applicant’s school
certifying that the applicant is a student in good standing.
A transcript is optional. |
| 2. |
An essay of under 1,000 words covering
the following topics: |

a. |
Your involvement, in any public service
or leadership role, within the community |
| |
b. |
Your reason for attending college majoring in
Business and related courses |
| |
c. |
Whether or how you expect to use your entrepreneurial/business
education to contribute to the community |
| 3. |
Recommendation letters, no more than
two, sent directly to the address below |
| Your essay will have the greatest
weight in the evaluation of your application and should be carefully
prepared. Although the above information is the primary deciding
factor, financial need may also be considered. You may send
supporting financial information. |
