It is organized under the Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation Law of California for public and charitable purposes .The specific purpose of this corporation is to assist Asian and Asian-American women develop and expand their business skills and talents .
Asian Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is an organization that advocates for and in behalf of Asian and Asian-American women entrepreneurs educating and strengthening their potentials as business owners . AWE seeks to fulfill the unmet need among Asian American business women seeking entrepreneurial support and cultural camaraderie to be themselves free from the stereotype associated with Asian women .

The purpose Asian Women Entrepreneurs (AWE) is to assist Asian Pacific Women realize their entrepreneurial potential, promoting their entrepreneurial skills in a dynamic business environment; identifying specific needs of Asian Pacific Women, providing available resources through entrepreneurial networking opportunities to assist members to grow their businesses to the next level – profitability?
